Repeat attendees welcome (new tunes provided!) |WHERE: North Saanich Holy Trinity Church Hall 1319 Mills Road (behind church at corner of Mills Rd & West Saanich Rd - Map |COST: $50 (US$33) for one workshop, $85 (US$60) for two, or $40 each (US$28) for any 3 or more in series |BRING: Harp, harp chair (if you have a special one), tuner and key, lunch, note-taking supplies. Optional: music stand |SUPPLIED: Copious cups of tea, workshop handouts |CLASS SIZE: Maximum of 10 harpists |LEVEL: Intermediate, however, all levels will benefit |TRANSPORT: * * 10 minutes to Swartz Bay ferry (Vancouver & Gulf Islands) 10 minutes to Brentwood Bay ferry (Mill Bay and points north) 25 minutes to Victoria, B.C., Canada (Vancouver Island) * * For complete directions call or email Alison - Map Workshop teaching will focus on skills and tools for developing your own choice of repertoire on the harp. There will be a variety of pieces taught in the process of learning the skills, with the written music handed out at the end of the workshop! The setting of the hall is pastoral, with beautiful Patricia Bay just a short saunter down the road. I envision busy pluckers, sunshine, lunch on the beach, and then back to work! This workshop is a continuation of a series that Alison started teaching during 2002.
