|WHAT: Fun with Syncopation (Intermediate)

In this workshop participants will:

1. Learn to recognise the rhythmic emphasis (pulse) of two simple

celtic tunes

2. Identify examples of standard accompaniments that follow this pulse

3. Experiment with accompaniments that do not follow this pulse

4. Practise other off-pulse (off-beat)

|BRING: Harp, harp chair (if you have a special one), tuner and key,

note-taking supplies. Optional: music stand

|LEVEL: Intermediate (brave novices welcome)

Workshop teaching will focus on skills and tools for developing your own choice of repertoire on the harp.
