I cannot say enough about the Electrosound Workhorse speakers I use for Alison's performances. I have literally built my part of the business around them. They are very small and light, very warm sounding, incredibly versatile while looking both tasteful, elegant and discrete, and have an absolutely awesome sound for acoustic stringed instruments and vocals. I have yet to find another speaker that sounds as good from virtually any angle of listening. This speaker's wide angle of music dispersion means that a small pair of Workhorses placed high on speaker stands hidden amongst the potted palms (or what have you) will fill any large room or lounge with a gorgeous and evenly distributed sound flowing over people's heads.

|Concert Performances - Warm, clean, clear, and subtle sound. The audience can hear Alison's breath but they cannot hear the sound system! Very rich with harp harmonics for audiences of 200 people or more.

|Background Performances - Gentle, gorgeous, lilting harp sounds drifting over heads throughout the venue. Soothing, relaxing yet energising and creates a sense of expectation for groups of 30 to 500 people or more.

|Trade and Craft Shows - An often very noisy environment where the sound is focussed in an area immediately in front of the harp for clear listening. The harp's presence spills into the rest of the venue to add magic to the surrounding booths.

With the support of sound engineer/ husband Stephen Vardy of Harpsound Audio and harp amplification, Alison is able to create a rich, magical atmosphere for almost any event. Anywhere; indoor or outdoor, with large or small audiences, all age groups.

The harp shares the same audio frequency spectrum as the human voice and at many corporate events or larger receptions an acoustic harp without amplification simply gets "lost" in the excitement of the event.

In contrast, by careful use of a professional high quality sound system, Alison's amplified harp music gently drifts around participants, creating a relaxing musical ambience to enhance any event. Small but powerful speakers discretely placed up high provide a wide dispersion of wonderful instrumental harp music around people's heads throughout the room.

Live harp music amplified in this way literally adds a million dollars worth of ambience to any event. It creates a slightly charged atmosphere where people can both relax and still feel that they are in the centre of the action along with a sense of mild expectation and excitement. This creates a thoroughly positive and magical atmosphere for both socialising and business making.

For Alison's concerts, the sound system's reverberation is accurately matched with the venue's acoustics and the harp sound volumes are only amplified to the exact level where the music sounds both natural and all enveloping. Studio quality microphones capture the harp's full sound including the string plucking sounds plus all the subtle dynamic nuances and tonal qualities unique to this instrument.

The harp music is then fully audible for all in the audience and this creates a rich, sensuous and an often emotional experience.
