|WHAT: Be a Balkan (Novice to Advanced - something for everyone)

In this workshop participants will:

1. Learn to recognise a predominant irregular Balkan rhythm

(no clues here!)

2. Practise the rhythm in the accompaniment hand only.

3. Learn the melody of a traditional Balkan folk song (music provided)

4. As an ensemble play the Balkan melody and accompaniment

together for wonderful rhythmic and melodic results!

|BRING: Harp, harp chair (if you have a special one), tuner and key,

note-taking supplies. Optional: music stand

|LEVEL: Novice to Advanced

Workshop teaching will focus on skills and tools for developing your own choice of repertoire on the harp.
